Mission & Vision
After many projects we have carried out for the benefit of our fellow citizens, it is time for important issues of the energy transition. As always, a group of enthusiasts gathered, so at the end of 2023 we founded Northern Adriatic Energy Community having its registered office in the Drenova Social Center to bring our citizens closer together and encourage them to come as close as possible to energy independence through the initiative civic energy and contribute to the sustainable development of our Drenova, the city of Rijeka and the wider region.
Tools and methodology are provided within the framework of a three-year EU project LIFE DISCOVER which will be implemented on the premises of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County in the period 2024. to 2026. years.

Vision is the energy self-sufficiency of Drenova, Rijeka and Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. A training programme and workshops with leading experts will be organised in 2023. – 2025 in premises the Drenova Social Center.
Association Without Borders as a carrier of activities and North Adriatic Energy Community participate as a service user in a name project; DISCOVER. The DISCOVER project has received funding from the European Union LIFE – Clean Energy Transition sub-programmes (2021-2027), and in the next 3 years will be implemented in the area of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County.
The DISCOVER project aims to contribute to the further development of civic energy in EU member states through user education and assistance in the establishment of new energy infrastructures. Energy communities, connected devices and systems will make it possible to create and maintain their own energy sustainability by connecting the local population. Each individual connected energy communities will be able to contribute to the improvement of civic energy systems and energy community management platforms through a transparent exchange of information.
